One Nation Under God Lapel Pin. We are trying to get the message out to the world on this important issue and one way to do that is to wear proudly the lapel pin that says that. I would like every assembly to order at least 100 of them for their members to wear. It can also be a good fund raiser, as the pins are only $1 each when you order at least 100, and you can easily sell them for more than that. Order them on the Web.
One Nation Under God Ribbons. Get one for your car! These red-white-and-blue ribbons, with the Fourth Degree Emblem in the loop, proudly declares how we stand. They are available for $1 each, but only in lots of at least 1,000. Since this is beyond what most assemblies can do, we will try to order them through the District. If you are interested, e-mail the Master with how many lots (of at least 100) your assembly wants. Once we have orders for at least 1,000, we will collect the money and put in the order.
Veteran's Programs. The primary purpose of your Fourth Degree
membership is to foster the spirit of patriotism in members and the
community at large and encourage active Catholic citizenship. What better
way to do that than to support our troops, not only the sons and daughters
that are in harms way today, but those that served in the past. As Sir
Knights, we have always stepped forward to work with our principle of
Charity. Any contribution you can make will be appreciated. There are two
ways of helping. You can either make a cash donation (make checks payable
to "State Council Knights of Columbus" and put VETERANS SERVICEMAN'S PROGRAM
in the memo) and mail to:
(they will forward it to the State Council to be used for the Veteran's homes) or you can send much needed items to a Veteran's Home. A "wish list" is available on the Forms page. If you can fill any of these it will be appreciated. VA medical treatment eligibility. If you, or someone you know, is a veteran, and in need of medical treatment, please download this directive from the VA on their intake requirements. It may well ease the process for those who need it. In addition, for those veterans who served from 1955 to 1975 there is information on chemical warfare agent experiments that you should know. Please also feel free to reference this information on Changes to VA Co-Pays. |
